▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And this surely is great evidence if you can understand -- 76 it is indeed a Glorious Koran, 77 In a book that is protected 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 then for him there shall be comfort and plenty and a Garden of Bliss; 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And burning in hell. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
