▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
No, by the moon! 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning to mankind, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 running away from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
