The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night when it envelopeth, 1 And by oath of the day when it shines 2 and by that (Power) which created the male and female, 3 your striving is indeed to different ends! 4 As for one who gives [to others] and fears [God], 5 for those who spend for the cause of God, 6 So We will very soon provide him ease. 7 But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, 8 And denied the best matter, 9 We shall surely ease for him the Path of Hardship (the Fire). 10 And what will his wealth benefit him when he goes down (in destruction). 11 Surely, it is for Us to provide guidance -- 12 and to Us belong the hereafter and the worldly life. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 who have rejected the (Truth) and have turned away from it. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 Who giveth his wealth that he may grow (in goodness). 18 and confers no favor upon anyone for recompense 19 but only out of a longing for the countenance of his Sustainer, the All-Highest: 20 And he shall soon be well-pleased. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
