Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
