O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.)], and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do. 51 This community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so hold Me alone in fear. 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We [but want to] make them vie with one another in doing [what they consider] good works? Nay, but they do not perceive [their error]! 56 Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord. 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 And they who do not associate anything with their Lord 59 And those who give what they give (in alms) while their hearts are full of fear that to their Lord they must return, 60 These people hasten to perform goodness, and it is they who shall reach it first. 61 And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book* that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.) 62 Nay, their hearts are in overwhelming ignorance with respect to it and they have besides this other deeds which they do. 63 Until, when We grasp those of them who lead a luxurious life with punishment, behold! They make humble invocation with a loud voice. 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels, 66 [and,] impelled by your arrogance, you would talk senselessly far into the night." 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or do they not recognise their Messenger, that they deny him? 69 Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse. 70 Were the Truth to follow their desires, the order of the heavens and the earth and those who dwell in them would have been ruined. Nay, the fact is that We have brought to them their own remembrance; and yet it is from their own remembrance that they are turning away. 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 And most surely those who do not believe in the hereafter are deviating from the way. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!- 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
