Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
