"Truly! The Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) will be amidst Gardens and water-springs (Paradise). 45 Enter them in peace, secure. 46 And [by then] We shall have removed whatever unworthy thoughts or feelings may have been [lingering] in their breasts, [and they shall rest] as brethren, facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 47 No fatigue will touch them nor will they be expelled therefrom." 48 ۞ Inform My bondmen that undoubtedly, I surely am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful. 49 and that My punishment is a painful one. 50 Tell them about the guests of Abraham 51 who came to him saying, "Peace be with you." Abraham said, "We are afraid of you". 52 They said, 'Be not afraid; behold, we give thee good tidings of a cunning boy.' 53 He said: bear ye me glad tidings when old age hath touched me? of what then ye bear me glad tidings? 54 give me good tidings?' They said, 'We give thee good tidings of truth. Be not of those that despair.' 55 He said: And who despaireth of the mercy of his Lord save those who are astray? 56 He said: What is your business then, O apostles? 57 They said: "Verily we have been sent to a guilty people 58 “Except the family of Lut; we shall rescue all of them.” 59 “Except his wife – we have decided that she is of those who will stay behind.” 60
