THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
