We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 These people say, 34 "That [which is ahead of us] is but our first [and only] death, and we shall not be raised to life again. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those who were before them whom We destroyed? Indeed they were sinners. 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 42
