Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
