No! By the moon 32 By the receding night 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 a warning to humankind, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 From the guilty. 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 Till death overtook us. 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
