Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble scribes 11 They know what you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
