۞ Allah hath said: Choose not two gods. There is only One Allah. So of Me, Me only, be in awe. 51 Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him, and His the judgement for ever. So will you fear any other than God? 52 Every bounty that you enjoy is from Allah; and whenever any misfortune strikes you, it is to Him that you cry for the removal of your distress. 53 Then, when He removes the affliction from you, lo, a party of you assign associates to their Lord, 54 (As if) to show their ingratitude for the favours we have bestowed on them! then enjoy (your brief day): but soon will ye know (your folly)! 55 And they assign to what they do not know a portion of that which We have provided them. By Allah, you will surely be questioned about what you used to invent. 56 They attribute daughters to God, the glorious, but for themselves whatsoever they please. 57 When good news of the birth of a female is given to any of them, his face grows dark and inwardly he chokes. 58 He hideth himself from the folk because of the evil of that whereof he hath had tidings, (asking himself): Shall he keep it in contempt, or bury it beneath the dust. Verily evil is their judgment. 59 For those who do not believe in the hereafter is an evil attribute, and Allah's is the loftiest attribute; and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 60
