By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 "Go to Pharaoh. I know not that you have a god other than I" (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
