And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, – 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 for, neither does it suit their ends, nor is it in their power [to impart it to man]: 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
