The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 They sat by it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
