Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 We were told about this and so were our forefathers before us. But these are no more than fairy tales that have been recounted from ancient times." 68 Say, "Travel through the land and see how terrible was the end of the criminal ones". 69 And do not grieve upon them, nor be distressed because of their scheming. 70 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 71 Say, "It may be that a part of what you would hasten on is close behind you." 72 Surely, your Lord is bountiful to the people; yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 But, verily, thy Sustainer knows all that their hearts conceal as well as all that they bring into the open: 74 Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record. 75 Surely this Quran declares to the children of Israel most of what they differ in. 76 and it is a guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Surely your Lord will judge between them by his judgment, and He is the Mighty, the knowing. 78 So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 nor can you guide the blind out of their error. You can make only those hear you who believe in Our revelations and surrender themselves to Us. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to be fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth speaking unto them, that the people have not of Our signs been convinced. 82
