Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 All the people turned away from him 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
