Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibrael (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahim (Abraham)? 24 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' 25 Then he went to his home – so he brought a healthy calf. 26 and placed it before them, saying, "Will you not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. 28 So hearing his wife went forth shouting. She struck her face and exclaimed: “A barren old woman am I.” 29 They said: “So has your Lord said (that you shall have a boy). Surely He is Most Wise, All-Knowing.” 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "Messengers, what is your task?" 31 They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); 32 So as to let loose clods of clay on them 33 They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". 34 Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there, 35 But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 But Pharaoh turned away, showing arrogance on account of his power, and said (about Moses): “He is either a sorcerer or a madman.” 39 We seized him and his army and threw them into the sea. He himself was to be blamed. 40 There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind 41 and it destroyed everything over which it passed and reduced it to dust. 42 And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" 43 Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding 44 They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. 45 And [thus, too, We destroyed] Noah's people aforetime: for they were iniquitous folk. 46
