Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you seen the one who turned away 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
