Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Noble and recording; 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
