Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ HAVE WE NOT opened up thy heart, 1 relieved you of the burden 2 that had well-nigh broken your back? 3 and granted you an exalted reputation? 4 So indeed with hardship is ease. 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So, whenever you are free, strive in devotion, 7 and let your longing be for your Lord (in humility). 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
