۞ And those who do not hope for Our meeting, say: Why have not angels been sent down upon us, or (why) do we not see our Lord? Now certainly they are too proud of themselves and have revolted in great revolt. 21 The Day, when they will see the angels, will not be a day of rejoicing for the criminals; they will cry out, "May Allah save us!" 22 We shall advance upon what work they have done, and make it a scattered dust. 23 And for the People of the Garden on that day is a better destination and account, and a better place of afternoon rest. 24 And [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent. 25 and the Absolute kingdom will belong to the Beneficent God. 26 Upon the day the evildoer shall bite his hands, saying, 'Would that I had taken a way along with the Messenger! 27 Would that I had never chosen so and so for my companion! 28 He led me away from the true guidance after it had come to us. Satan is a traitor to people." 29 The Messengers will say, "Lord, my people had abandoned this Quran." 30 And even so We appointed unto every prophet an enemy from among the culprits. And thine Lord sufficeth as Guide and Helper. 31 The unbelievers have said, "Why was the whole Quran not revealed to him at once?" We have revealed it to you in gradual steps to strengthen your hearts and give you explanations. 32 They do not bring to you any parable but that which We bring to you is the truth and better in explanation. 33 those who are going to be driven to Hell upon their faces, have taken an utterly wrong stand and their way is most erroneous! 34
