These (people of the right hand) consist of many from the ancient 39 And a crowd of the later. 40 BUT AS FOR those who have persevered in evil - what of those who have persevered in evil? 41 In fierce hot wind and boiling water, 42 And the shade of black smoke, 43 [shadows] neither cooling nor soothing. 44 Surely they had lived before in luxury, 45 and had persisted in the Great Sin. 46 and constantly said: 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we then be restored to life? 47 And also our forefathers?" 48 Say thou: verily the ancients and those of later generations: 49 shall be gathered to the appointed time of a known day. 50 Then indeed you, the astray, the deniers 51 "You verily will eat of the trees of Zaqqum. 52 Then will fill your bellies with it. 53 And thereon ye will drink of boiling water, 54 Drinking even as the camel drinketh. 55 Such will be their welcome on Judgment Day! 56 We created you; therefore why will you not believe? 57 Did you ever consider the sperm that you emit? 58 Did you create it or was it We who created it? 59 We have incorporated death in your constitution, and We shall not be hindered 60 in replacing you with another creation like you, changing you into a form which you do not know. 61 You are well aware of the first creation; then, do you learn no lesson from it? 62 Have you ever considered the seed which you cast upon the soil? 63 Do you yourselves sow it, or are We the Sowers? 64 Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry pieces, and you would be regretful (or left in wonderment). 65 (And say:) "We have fallen into debt; 66 Surely, we have been deprived (of the benefits)". 67 Have you ever considered the water which you drink? 68 Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders? 69 Did We will, We would make it bitter; so why are you not thankful? 70 Have you considered the fire you kindle? 71 Did you make its timber to grow, or did We make it? 72 We! it is We Who made it a reminder and a provision unto the campers. 73 (Muhammad), glorify your Lord, the Great One. 74

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
