And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 About their deeds. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death). 99
