We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
