S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Sad: By the Qur'an, Full of Admonition: (This is the Truth). 1 No, the unbelievers exalt in their division. 2 How many a generation We have destroyed before them, and they cried out when there was no longer time for escape! 3 And they marvel that there should come unto them a warner from among themselves. And the infidels say: this is a magician and a liar! 4 They say, "Has he condemned all other gods but One? This is certainly strange". 5 And the Council of them depart, saying 'Go! Be steadfast to your gods; this is a thing to be desired. 6 “We never heard of this even in Christianity, the latest religion; this is clearly a newly fabricated matter.” 7 Was the message sent only to him out of all of us?" In fact, they doubt My warning; in fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Do they possess the treasures of your Lord, the Most Mighty, the Great Bestower? 9 Or have they the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all between? If so, let them mount up with the ropes and means (to reach that end)! 10 (As they denied Allah's Message) they will be a defeated host like the confederates of the old times (who were defeated). 11 Before them the nations of Noah, Aad and Pharaoh, and he of the tentpegs belied, 12 And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the Companions of the Wood; - such were the Confederates. 13 There was not one but belied the apostles, wherefore justified was My wrath. 14
