We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
