The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: "I am your lord, most high") (see Verse 79:24)] and first [(i.e. his saying, "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I" (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
