Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing. 65 Lord of the heavens and earth and everything between them, the Almighty, the Most Forgiving." 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 “What did I know of the heavenly world, when the angels had disputed.” 69 it has only been revealed to me that I am a plain warner." 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 “So when I have perfected him and breathed into him a spirit from Myself, (you all) fall down before him in prostration.” 72 And the angels did obeisance, all of them, 73 But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers. 74 The Lord said: “O Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself before him whom I created of My Two Hands. Are you waxing proud, or fancy yourself to be too exalted?” 75 He (satan) replied: 'I am better than he. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay' 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 so He said, "You are granted respite 80 till the Day whose Hour I know.” 81 [Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 I will fill up Hell with you and every one of them who follows you." 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
