No, by the moon! 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning to mankind, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 About the guilty: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 Till death overtook us. 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
