Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes. 4 Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 But when sight is confounded 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 None except you, O disbelievers you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And they will say, “Is there any one any magician?” 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
