3/4 Hizb 45

And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
