The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the startling calamity? 2 And what have you understood, what the event that terrifies the hearts is! 3 It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed, 4 And the mountains will be like carded wool. 5 Then he whose deeds shall weigh heavier in the scale 6 shall live in a life which is pleasing, 7 And for one whose scales prove light, 8 He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell). 9 And what shall teach thee what is the Pit? 10 It is the scorching fire. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
