Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 “And indeed this religion of yours is one religion only and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me.” 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 have no other purpose except to help them in acquiring material benefits? No indeed. But they do not understand. 56 Those who tremble with fear of their Lord; 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 and do not ascribe partners to Him; 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works, and it is they who outrun [all others] in attaining to them! 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 In fact, the hearts of the unbelievers are in the dark because of their ignorance of real virtue; they act against it. 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 My signs were recited to you, but upon your heels you withdrew, 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or, is it because they do not recognize their Messenger that they denied him? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their caprices, the heavens and the earth and whosoever in them is had surely corrupted. Nay, We brought them their Remembrance, but from their Remembrance they turned. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 And lo! thou summonest them indeed unto a straight path. 73 but those who disbelieve in the Everlasting Life deviate from the Path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. 75 Already We have seized them with the punishment, but they neither humbled themselves to their Lord, nor did they beseech Him, 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of severe punishment, then lo! They will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair. 77
