Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are revelations of the wise Scripture, 2 A guide and a mercy for the Muhsinun (good-doers) 3 who establish the prayer, pay the obligatory charity, and firmly believe in the Everlasting Life. 4 These are on (true) guidance from their Lord: and these are the ones who will prosper. 5 And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse to lead astray from Allah's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement. 6 When Our verses are recited to him, he turns his back in pride, as though he never heard them, and in his ears was heaviness. Give glad tidings to him of a painful punishment! 7 Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them are the Gardens of Pleasure. 8 They shall abide in them forever. This is Allah's promise that shall come true. He is the Most Powerful, the Most Wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 This is the creation of Allah; shew me that which those beside Him have created. Aye! the wrong-doers are in error manifest. 11
