Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif-Lam-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are verses of the wise Book. 2 for a guidance and a mercy to the good-doers 3 Those who establish the prayer and give the poor-rate and of the Hereafter are convinced. 4 Such have guidance from their Lord. Such are the successful. 5 And some people buy words of play, in order to mislead from Allah’s path, without knowledge; and to make it an article of mockery; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 6 And when Our revelations are recited unto him he turneth away in pride as if he heard them not, as if there were a deafness in his ears. So give him tidings of a painful doom. 7 Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them are the Gardens of Pleasure. 8 They will abide in them for ever. The promise of God is true; and He is all-mighty and all-wise. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars visible to you and He placed mountains in the earth as pegs lest it should turn topsy turvy with you, and He dispersed all kinds of animals over the earth, and sent down water from the sky causing all kinds of excellent plants to grow on it. 10 Such is the creation of Allah; now show me what, other than Him, created! No, the harmdoers are in clear error. 11
