The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 So where are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
