The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the morning brightness 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
