Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
