The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said unto them: fear ye not? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear God and follow me." 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 Their reckoning is upon my Lord, if ye but knew. 113 And I am not to drive away the believers. 114 I am none but a plain warner." 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will, certainly, be stoned to death." 116 He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” 117 therefore, judge decisively between me and them; and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122
