The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
