Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. 25 Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. 26 He placed it before them. Then he said, "Why are you not eating?" 27 beginning to be afraid of them. But they said, "Don't be afraid"; and they gave him the good news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge. 28 Then his wife came forward with a loud voice, she smote her face, and said: "A barren old woman!" 29 They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower. 30 ۞ (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)? 31 They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); 32 so that we bring down stones of clay upon them 33 which are marked by your Lord for the punishment of those guilty of excesses." 34 And in the course of time We brought out [of Lot 's city] such [few] believers as were there: 35 We found in it only one household of true believers -- 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the afflictive torment. 37 And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. 38 But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." 39 So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. 40 There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind 41 which turned everything it approached into dust. 42 There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of the Thamud, who were told to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. 43 Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding 44 Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. 45 And the people of Nuh We destroyed aforetime; verily they were a people transgressing. 46
