Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 and nay, I swear by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And they will say, “Is there any one any magician?” 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
