Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known calculated term. 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
