The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In extended columns. 9
