Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the winds that scatter the dust far and wide, 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 your ideas are confused. 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
