The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 who observe Zakah; 4 who guard their privates, 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
