Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ HALLOWED be He in whose hand all dominion rests, since He has the power to will anything: 1 [He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving - 2 Who created the seven heavens one upon another. You will see no incongruity in the Merciful One's creation. Turn your vision again, can you see any flaw? 3 Then lift your gaze again, your gaze will return towards you, unsuccessful and weak. 4 We have adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and have made them a means to drive away the satans. We have prepared for them the chastisement of the Blazing Fire. 5 For those who believe not in their Lord there is the punishment of Hell; and what a wretched destination 6 When they are cast into it they shall hear it sighing, while it boils 7 It almost explodes in rage. Whenever a group is thrown into it, its keepers will ask them, "Did no one come to warn you?" 8 They will say: yea! surely there came a warner unto us, but we belied, and said: God hath not sent down aught, we are naught but in a great error. 9 They will say: "If we had listened and been wise, we would not have been among the inmates of Hell." 10 Then they will confess their sin. So, away with the dwellers of the blazing Fire. 11 Surely those who fear their Lord in the Unseen -- there awaits them forgiveness and a great wage. 12 And whether ye hide your word or publish it, He certainly has (full) knowledge, of the secrets of (all) hearts. 13 Does He who created not know, while He is the Subtle, the Acquainted? 14
