The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9
God the Almighty always says the truth.
